Tenowo Inc., Expansion Celebrated with Groundbreaking Ceremony Former Hof Textiles Selected for $12.5 Million Expansion

LINCOLNTON, NC-TENOWO Inc., formerly known as Hof Textiles, celebrated their planned facility and equipment expansion in Lincoln County, North Carolina, today with a ground breaking ceremony. Located within the Indian Creek Industrial Park, TENOWO Inc., has already begun the dirt moving process on the 70,000 square foot, $12.5 million dollar, expansion.

 

TENOWO Inc. is owned by German based Hoftex Group.  The Lincolnton facility was founded in 1992 and is a leading producer of decorative and functional nonwovens for the automotive, industrial and apparel industries and locally services all of North America.  Chris Peart, President and CEO of TENOWO Inc. commented on the company’s commitment to Lincoln County, its customer base and its ninety employees. Additionally, Peart expressed dedication to bring new technologies and new products to the local facility.

 

On behalf of Lincoln County and the county commission, Chairperson Cecelia Martin addressed the gathering with words of support, “We congratulate TENOWO, Inc. for this expansion and are pleased they are committed to Lincoln County. We wish them continued success and prosperity and appreciate the opportunities this expansion represents for the citizens of Lincolnton and Lincoln County.”

 

“LEDA is always pleased to see our industries prosper and grow within our community. This is the fourth local expansion by TENOWO Inc. since 2009.  TENOWO is one of those companies who continue to remind us how fortunate we are to have them within Lincoln County. A former Industry of the Year winner, TENOWO invests in themselves, recognizes the importance of their employees and is very supportive of community projects and initiatives. We are very fortunate to have them in our county,” said Kara Brown, Existing Business Manager with LEDA.

 

Bo King, Chair, Lincoln Economic Development Association said regarding the expansion, “Lincoln County is grateful for industries like TENOWO who bring investment and jobs to our community. Global competition for our local expansions is a normal part of business in this day and time. Lincoln Economic Development is focused on keeping our industries competitive and attentive to what they need to be successful and grow.”

 

In addition to business leaders attending the day’s event, several students currently enrolled in Lincoln County Schools, Advanced Manufacturing III classes at the local School of Technology were welcomed as invited guests. Representing the next generation of workers, the students were able to experience a cerebration of investment by industry and observe how local companies are growing and hiring people for new jobs here in Lincoln County.
